On Monday, September 9 at the Tribeca Playhouse, the Worth Street Theater Company will hold a special celebration to honor the many workers, volunteers, and service men and women who have worked at Ground Zero and joined in the effort to rebuild the downtown area.

Mario Cantone, Daisy Eagan, and Colin Quinn will be among the many stars gathering for this reunion of participants in the Tribeca Playhouse Stage-Door Canteen, a USO-style variety show that ran at the Playhouse for several weeks during the recovery effort following the attack on the World Trade Center.

Once again, musicians, comedians, and Broadway stars will come together to perform free for the heroes of 9/11; prior to the 7pm show, there will be a benefit reception at 5pm to be hosted by Fresh, Tribeca’s newest restaurant. The general public is also invited to attend, with tickets available at $150 per person. Proceeds of the benefit will go toward relieving debts incurred by the Worth Street Theater Company and the Tribeca Playhouse post-9/11. Phone 212-571-1576 for details.
