Andrew Call, Eliseo Roman, Natalie Toro to Star in NYMF’s Zapata! The Musical

Full casting has been announced for the New York Musical Theater Festival production of Peter Edwards and Ana Edwards’ Zapata! The Musical, to run July 24-29 at the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre. Elizabeth Lucas directs the production, which features choreography and musical staging by Luis Salgado.
In the musical, Mexican Revolution hero Emiliano Zapata appears in the 21st Century to help inspire a member of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Zapata! will star Natalie Toro, Enrique Acevedo, Andrew Call, Eliseo Roman, Maria Eberline, Blanca Camacho, Tony Castellanos, Victor Hernandez, Jen Anaya, Erin Maya, Grisel Pren Monje, Marco Antonio Santiago, Henry Gainza, Nate Duckart, Carlos Gonzalez, Sasha Hollinger, and Santiago Spivey.
The creative team includes Kenneth Gartman (musical director), Jesse Vargas (arrangements and orchestrations), Charles Santoro (assistant musical director), Aaron Scheckler (scenic and props design), Asa Benally (costume design),and Jason T. Hurley (sound design).
