Obie Winner Roberts Blossom Has Died

Obie Award winner Roberts Blossom has died at age 87, according to The New York Times.


Blossom’s many stage credits include Ballad of the Sad Café, The Physicists, Operation Sidewinder, Village Wooing, Do Not Pass Go, A Midsummer’ Night’s Dream, and Peter Brook’s 1988 production of The Cherry Orchard, in which played Firs.

His many film credits include The Hospital, Slaughterhouse-Five, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Doc Hollywood, Escape from Alcatraz, and Home Alone.

He is survived by his children, Deborah and Michael.
