NAACP Theatre Award winner Cedric Sanders and Oscar winner and Broadway veteran Louis Gossett, Jr. will star in writer-director Mark Young’s film The Least Among You, which debuts on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand from Lionsgate on Tuesday, August 24. The film also stars Lauren Holly and William Devane.

After his false arrest at the 1965 Watts Riots, Richard Kelly (Sanders) finds himself serving probation at an all-white seminary where he is faced with racism, daily abuse and lack of support. Just when he reaches his breaking point, Kelly finds an unlikely mentor (Gossett) who helps motivate and guide him. Richard soon undergoes a transformation that forces him to choose between his dreams and his destiny.

The DVD will include special features that include an interview with the “real” Richard Kelly, plus an interview with some of the filmmakers, deleted scenes and a “behind-the-scenes” featurette.
