Operatic Heat will present Parsons Dance and the East Village Opera Company (EVOC)’s dance/rock opera Remember Me, on public television as a pledge special beginning August 2.

Choreographed and directed for the stage by David Parsons, the show had its world premiere at the Joyce Theater earlier this year. Parsons, along with EVOC’s Tyley Ross and AnnMarie Milazzo, created a story-line involving a modern re-telling of a classic story of tragic love. The live stage production of Remember Me will tour North American in the Fall of 2009.

The program will be seen on stations such as KQED, San Francisco, CA – 8/2 at 8pm; KTEH/San Jose and KQET/Monterey, 8/3 at 2pm; WGBH, Boston, MA – 8/2 at 8pm, 8/5 at 3am and 3pm, 8/6 at 7:30pm; KCET, Los Angeles, CA – 8/7 at 3:30pm; AETN, Conway, AR – 8/9 at 8pm; WUSF, Tampa, FL – 8/9 at 8pm and 8/15 at 3:30pm; KLRU, Austin, TX – 8/10 at 8pm; WMHT, Albany, NY – 8/10 at 8pm; and WLIW, New York – 8/13 at 8pm.
