The Kennedy Center’s recent sold-out production of the Terrence McNally-Lynn Ahrens-Stephen Flaherty musical Ragtime will transfer to Broadway’s Neil Simon Theatre, with previews beginning October 23, and an opening set for November 15. Marcia Milgrom Dodge will direct and choreograph, with casting to be announced at a later date.

Based on the E.L. Doctorow novel of the same name, the show weaves together the stories of a poor Jewish immigrant selling wares on the street, a wealthy Victorian couple offering aid to a runaway, and a Harlem jazz pianist out for justice.

The production team will include scenic design by Derek McLane, original costume design by Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Donald Holder, musical direction by James Moore and original orchestrations by William David Brohn.
