Judith Shakespeare Company to Hold Shakespeare-a-Thon Fundraiser

The Judith Shakespeare Company will present Shakespeare-a-Thon, a two-night fundraising festival to be held at The Creek LIC (10-93 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City), August 28 and 29 from 4 pm to 4 am on both nights.

The program will consist of an encore of the company’s complete eight-play History Cycle, originally produced in 2002-2004. More than 50 actors will recreate their roles in these epic plays, presented in a concert performance. The event will also include games of skill and chance with prizes; hands-on demonstrations of Renaissance costuming, swordfighting and mini-jousting, art, music, dance, insults; plus raffles, silent auctions, costumed characters, tarot readings, and more. Proceeds will benefit the Judith Shakespeare Company.

There is a $10.00 suggested donation at the door. For more information, visit www.judithshakespeare.org.
