Ruth Williamson will replace Rosie O’Donnell as Madame Thenardier, in the Hollywood Bowl’s upcoming concert version of Les Miserables, August 8-10, to be directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. O’Donnell has withdrawn to take care of her eldest son, who recently broke his wrist.

As previously reported, the cast will feature J. Mark McVey as Jean Valjean, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Lea Michele as Eponine, Melora Hardin as Fantine, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, John Lloyd Young as Marius, Michelle Maika as Cosette, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thenardier, and Sage Ryan as Gavroche.

In addition, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is auctioning a special four-day VIP package in conjunction with the Hollywood Bowl’s concert. The package will include round-trip airfare and hotel, multiple viewings of the production, admittance to the cast party, and signed memorabilia. To access the auction, visit ebay.com.
