Gruffudd, Larson, Lenox, Lucas, Radnor, Shaud, Westfledt, et al. Join Powerhouse Season

Final casting has been announced for the remainder of the season at the Powerhouse Theatre at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The free reading series, August 1-3, will feature actors Francois Battiste, Aadya Bedi, Alicia Goranson, Jesse Hooker, Jill Larson, Ramiz Monsef, Diana Ruppe, Elliot Villar, Delaney Williams, Alice Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, Grant Shaud, Maria Thayer, Christopher Abbott, Robery Clohessy, Wendy Makkena, Nick Westratem, Lise Bruneau, Marcia Jean Kurtz, Adriane Lenox, Livia DePaolis, and Michael Puzzo. The series will feature Enough, by Deborah Haggis; Knowing Cairo, by Andrea Stolowitz; Little Black Dress, by Ronan Noone; Mean Time, by Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros; and Veronica, by John Patrick Shanley.

As previously reported, Josh Radnor and Jennifer Westfeldt will play the lead roles in Joe Gilford’s Finks, July 23-August 3. The show, which will be directed by Charlie Stratton, is set in the summer of 1952 and involves a stand-up comic and an actress/activist whose love is tested due to the machinations of the House Committee on Un-American Activities. The cast will also feature Ned Eisenberg, Kelly AuCoin, John Rothman, Steve Rosen, Mitchell Greenberg, Nathan Mateus Duszny, and John Alix.

Next up will be Stephen Belber’s Fault Lines, August 2-3, about the tortured integrity of reaching age 40 — and what it means for men to be friends — to be directed by David Schwimmer, and starring Noah Emmerich, Dominic Fumusa, Josh Lucas, and Jennifer Mudge.
