Conner, Donovan, Dvorsky, et al. Set for Signature Theatre Open House

The Signature Theatre Company in Arlington, Virginia will hold its second annual Open House on Saturday, August 4 from noon until 9:30pm. This free event, open to the public, will include performances, master classes, and backstage tours.

Highlights of the event include solo concerts from actor-composer Matt Conner, Jacquelyn Piro Donovan, currently appearing in the company’s production of The Witches of Eastwick, and Broadway leading man George Dvorsky.

Other performances include spoken word artist Vanessa Hidary in The Hebrew Mamita, a reading of Bathsheba Doran’s The Parents’ Evening starring Vanessa Locke, and a concert featuring selections from the musicals Merrily We Roll Along, Glory Days, The Happy Time, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and The Visit, all of which will be produced this season at Signature.

Other highlights of the upcoming season is The Word Begins, a slam poetry piece, Christopher D’Amboise’s dance-piece The Studio, Martin Moran’s solo show The Tricky Part, and Karen Akers’ acclaimed cabaret show, First You Dream: The Songs of Kander & Ebb.
