Stephanie Zimbalist will star in the national tour of Tea at Five, Matthew Lombardo’s solo play about actress Katharine Hepburn. The tour will kick off at The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul, Minnesota, September 19-October 1, before moving on to Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, Miami, Denver, and other cities.

The show will be directed by John Tillinger, who helmed the show’s Off-Broadway production, which starred Kate Mulgrew. The play is set in 1938 at Hepburn’s Connecticut home. Having been labeled “box office poison,” she is set on getting the role of Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind.

Zimbalist’s stage credits include My One and Only, The Night of the Iguana, and The Cherry Orchard. She is best known for her role as Laura Holt on the long-running TV series Remington Steele. Her other film and TV credits include The Awakening, Elvis and the Beauty Queen, and Stop the World, I Want to Get Off.
