Broadway star Sally Murphy will play Eliza Doolittle in the Signature Theatre’s two-piano production of the classic Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady, September 26-November 19. The show will be helmed by Signature’s artistic director, Eric Schaefer; it will be the last in Signature’s current garage space in Arlington, Virginia before the company moves to its new two-theater complex in Shirlington next year.

The cast also includes local favorites Andrew Long as Henry Higgins and Will Gartshore as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, along with Terrence Currier (Alfred P. Doolittle), Steven Cupo (Zoltan Karpathy), Channez Mcquay (Mrs. Eynsford-Hill), and Dana Kreueger (Mrs. Higgins).

Murphy has appeared on Broadway as Rose of Sharon in The Grapes of Wrath, as Julie Jordan in the Lincoln Center revival of Carousel, as Sally in Michael John LaChiusa’s The Wild Party, and as Tzeitel in the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Her other stage credits include Brutal Imagination, The Lover, A Man of No Importance, and Bernarda Alba.
