Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA) will sponsor three free events in Bryant Park next week. On Wednesday, August 3 at 1:30pm and 6pm, DRA will present Dancing For Life, an hour-long performance by members of some of the city’s top dance companies, including Pilobolus, Stephen Petronio, Cedar Lake Ensemble, and STREB.

On Thursday, August 4 at 12:30pm, Spamalot star Christopher Sieber will host Broadway For Life, featuring performers from many current Broadway shows plus members of the original Rent cast, who also star in the upcoming film version.

That evening at 6pm, Tony Award-winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell will emcee Ballroom in Bryant Park, which will include performances by American Ballroom Theatre, Dance Times Square, Stepping Out Studios, and the winners from P.S. 257 Colors of the Rainbow Team Match Champions (featured in the film Mad Hot Ballroom). The show will be followed by a live dance class taught by Maria Torres and Luis Salgado.
