The Storefront to Revive Gurney’s Love Letters

It has just been announced that The Storefront will present an all-star revival of A. R. Gurney’s acclaimed 1988 play Love Letters with a rotating cast on Monday evenings at the Duplex Cabare Theatre, beginning August 4.

The play is composed entirely of written correspondence between two people who gradually reveal themselves to each other and the audience. The schedule of performers for the first eight performances is as follows: Joan Rivers and Lonny Price on August 4; Charles Busch and Jim Dale on August 11; Alison Fraser and Stephen Bogardus on August 18; Daisy Eagan and Matt Bogart on August 25; Phil Geoffrey Bond and Kristy Cates on September 1; Seth Rudetsky and Leslie Kritzer on September 8; Tonya Pinkins and Jerry Dixon on September 15; Julia Murney and Andrew Lippa on September 22.

All performances will be held at the Duplex (61 Christopher Street), beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $18 and there is a two-drink minimum. For reservations, phone 212-255-5438.
