Tom Deckman will play the title role in Arnie The Doughnut, to be presented at PTC Performance Space as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), July 13-21.

Based on the award-winning children’s book by Laurie Keller, this family musical is adapted by George Howe and Frances Limoncelli. Arnie, a lovable chocolate-frosted doughnut with rainbow sprinkles, is the happiest pastry in the bakery when he’s taken home by his new owner. But when mild-mannered Mr. Bing tries to eat the unsuspecting Arnie, both are in for the surprise of their lives!

The cast will also include Jane Blass as Ms.Plute, a saucy French Cruller and Stephanie Fritto as the Jelly-filled Sheila.

Adam Arian will direct and choreograph, with the creative team also including Daniel Feyer (musical director), Ken Larson (scene designer), Greg Mitchell (lighting designer), Elizabeth Wislar (costume designer), and Victoria DeIorio (sound designer).
