Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima will direct an Off-Broadway production of the musical Bare, to begin previews at New World Stages on November 19, with an opening set for December 9.

Featuring music by Damon Intrabartolo and book & lyrics by Jon Hartmere (with additional songs by Hartmere and Lynne Shankel), Bare is the story of a group of teens as they wrestle with their identities, sexuality and religion at a co-ed Catholic boarding school.

The production will feature choreography by Emmy Award nominee Travis Wall, music supervision and arrangements by Lynne Shankel, and scenic design by Tony Award-winner Donyale Werle. Additional design team and complete casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

Bare had its world premiere at the Hudson Theater in Los Angeles, in 2000 and previously played in New York at the American Theatre of Actors (Chernuchin Theatre) in 2004. It has since had more than 100 productions worldwide.
