New Line Cinema is planning to remake the Anthony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim-penned cult murder mystery film The Last of Sheila, according to published reports.

Producer Beau Flynn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) is attached to the project. A screenwriter, director, and dates are still to be announced.

The 1973 film, directed by Herbert Ross, is set on a yacht in the Mediterranean whose owner, a Hollywood producer, invites a group of guests to spend the weekend and participate in a mysterious scavenger hunt. The film starred James Coburn, Raquel Welch, James Mason, Ian McShane, and Dyan Cannon.

Sondheim, a noted puzzle fanatic, previously worked with Perkins, best known for his performance in the film Psycho, on the 1966 television musical Evening Primrose, in which Perkins starred and Sondheim contributed music and lyrics.
