Gerard Canonico, Trista Dollison to Star in NYMF Musical Stand Tall
Broadway veterans Gerard Canonico and Trista Dollison are set to star in the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of Stand Tall, July 19-29 at the 45th St. Theatre Mainstage. Simon Greiff will direct.
With book and lyrics by Lee Wyatt-Buchan and music by Aldie and Sandy Chalmers, Stand Tall is a family-friendly musical that puts a contemporary pop/rock twist on the classic David and Goliath story.
Canonico and Dollison will star as Goliath and the Black Sheep, respectively. The cast will also feature Bryan Welnicki (David), Jef Canter (King Saul), and Jill Shackner (Princess Mia).
The design team will include recent Tony Award winner Paloma Young (costume design), Julia C. Lee (set design), KJ Hardy (lighting design), and Charles Coes (sound design).
