Mos Def, Rosie Perez Set for June 25 Fort Greene Festival

Academy Award nominee Rosie Perez will host the 2011 Fort Greene Festival on Saturday, June 25, in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, to be held Noon-8pm.

Multi-Grammy Award/Golden Globe Award/Emmy Award-nominated actor and performer Mos Def will be the headliner at the event.

Perez’s Broadway credits include The Ritz, Reckless, and Frankie and Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. She received an Academy Award nomination for Fearless. Mos Def’s Broadway credits include A Free Man of Color and Topdog/Underdog. He is most widely recognized for his rap and hip-hop work and his film credits include Monster’s Ball, Brown Sugar, and Cadillac Records.

Admission to the festival is free.
