Judy Gold will perform her newest piece The Judy Show: My Life as a Sitcom at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre. Amanda Charlton will direct the production, which will begin performances on June 30 in anticipation of an official opening on July 7.

The autobiographical piece, co-written with Kate Moira Ryan, explores the performer's life as a lesbian mother of two and the television enthusiasms of her own childhood. The two have also collaborated on the original songs for the show, which has additional material by Eric Kornfeld and Bob Smith.

Gold's other credits include her previous one-person show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother as well as Love, Loss, and What I Wore. In addition, she has been guest host on The View and The Joy Behar Show.

The creative team will include Andrew Boyce (scenic and projection design), Joshua Scherr (lighting design), and Alex Neumann (sound design).
