The Broadway revival of John Guare’s The House of Blue Leaves, which was previously scheduled to run through July 23, will now close on June 25. As of that date, it will have played 21 previews and 72 regular performances.

The play, directed by David Cromer, is set during the Pope’s 1965 visit to New York City, which brings the hope of answered prayers and a few unexpected guests to an apartment in Sunnyside, Queens, where Artie Shaughnessy, a zookeeper, pines for a new life as a popular songwriter.

The cast stars Ben Stiller as Artie Shaughnessy, Edie Falco as Bananas Shaughnessy and Jennifer Jason Leigh as Bunny Flingus, with Thomas Sadoski as Billy Einhorn, Alison Pill as Corrinna Stroller, Mary Beth Hurt as Head Nun, Christopher Abbott as Ronnie Shaughnessy, Halley Feiffer as Little Nun, Susan Bennett as Second Nun, Jimmy Davis as Military Policeman and Tally Sessions as White Man.

The production team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design) and Brian MacDevitt (lighting design).
