Anthony Rapp, John Tartaglia, and Stephanie D’Abruzzo are set to perform in the concert Free to Dream, an evening devoted to the songs of Doug Katsaros and William Schermerhorn, to be offered at Joe’s Pub on August 2 at 7pm and 9:30pm. The event will benefit The New York Pops’ education programs, which bring music to public schoolchildren throughout the five boroughs of New York City. New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke will host the concert.

Grammy-winning composer Katsaros and Emmy-nominated lyricist Schermerhorn have written songs which have been part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, among other nationally recognized celebrations. Among their songs that will be performed at the concert are “It’s All About Tonight,” “Beneath a Summer Sky,” “Gift of Light,” and “Sing Another Day,” along with the title song.

The event will also feature a performance from the Camp Broadway Kids and the voice of Willard Scott will be heard as ‘DJ Sam.’
