Margaret Cho to Release Album and Launch Cho Dependent Tour in August

Margaret Cho will release her new music comedy album, Cho Dependent, on August 24, and kick off her new stand-up tour of the same name at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, on August 26.

The album features collaborations with such artists as Jon Brion, Fiona Apple, Tegan and Sara, Andrew Bird, Ani DiFranco, Garrison Starr, Meghan Toohey, Brendan Benson, Rachael Yamagata, Carl Newman, Grant Lee Phillips, Patty Griffin, Ben Lee, and Kevin Barnes.

The touring show will feature new stand-up and a few live performances of songs from the album. The tour will play over 30 cities, including a stop in New York on November 5. It will wrap up with a performance in Atlanta on December 12.

Cho has toured the country in numerous solo shows, including I’m the One That I Want, Notorius C.H.O., Revolution, State of Emergency, and Assassin. She starred in the burlesque variety show, The Sensuous Woman. Cho currently co-stars in the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva, has a reoccurring role on the CBS series, Ghost Whisperer, and her previous TV credits also include starring in the ABC sitcom All-American Girl.
