Winther, Grigsby, Wilfert Set for New Love Songs

Singer Michael Winther and pianist Kimberly Grigsby will collaborate on New Love Songs, to play the Metropolitan Room on Wednesday, June 18 and 25 at 7:30pm, and Monday, June 23 and 30 at 9:30pm. Actress Sally Wilfert will guest star at the Monday evening shows.

The show will feature music from a variety of contemporary songwriters, including Deborah Abramson, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Mark Campbell, Carmel Dean, William Finn, Peter Foley, Jenny Giering and Sean Barry, Adam Guettel, Fred Hersch, Paul Loesel, Steve Marzullo, Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda, Chris Miller, John Mercurio, Peter Foley, and Joseph Thalken.

Winther received a Drama Desk nomination for Songs for an Unmade Bed and last appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia!. Grigbsy has been musical director for such shows as Spring Awakening and Caroline, or Change. Wilfert is currently starring in the Barrington Stage Company production of The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee and has appeared on the New York stage in Make Me a Song and Assassins.
