London Spamalot to Close on January 3

The West End production of Monty Python’s Spamalot will play its final performance at the Palace Theatre on January 3, 2009, before embarking on a UK tour next April.

Prior to its closure, Sanjeev Bhaskar will play King Arthur, taking over from June 23. He is best known as from TV’s The Kumars at No. 42 and Goodness Gracious Me. His other credits include Art on stage and Scoop, Anita and Me, The Guru and Notting Hill on screen.

The current cast includes Alan Dale (King Arthur), Nina Soderquist (as the Lady of the Lake), Ross Dawes (Sir Robin), Gerard Carey (Herbert), Michael Xavier (Sir Dennis Galahad), Andrew Spillett (Patsy), Adam Stafford (Sir Bedevere) and Jake Nightingale (Sir Lancelot).
