Frank Langella will play the role of former U.S. President Richard M. Nixon opposite the previously announced Michael Sheen in the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Peter Morgan’s Frost/Nixon, to run August 10-October 7. Meanwhile, on July 10, Patrick Swayze will take over the role of Nathan Detroit in the Donmar’s production of Guys and Dolls at the Picadilly Theatre in London’s West End.

Frost/Nixon will be directed by Michael Grandage, who also helmed Guys and Dolls. The play is based on Frost’s 1972 television interviews with Nixon right after the Watergate scandal. Langella is a two-time Tony Award winner for Seascape and Fortune’s Fool, and has also starred on Broadway in Dracula, Design for Living, Match, and the original production of Amadeus, in which he played Salieri. (Sheen played Mozart in the play’s Broadway revival.)

Swayze, who will be in London for eight weeks, will join stars Adam Cooper, Kelly Price, and Claire Sweeney in the Frank Loesser musical. His Broadway credits include Chicago, Grease, and Goodtime Charley. He is best known for the films Dirty Dancing and Ghost.
