Sounds of SILENCE! Concert Postponed

The Sounds of SILENCE! and Other Inappropriate Showtunes, a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS that was to have taken place at 7pm tomorrow (Sunday, July 3) at The Zipper Theater at 337 West 37th Street, has been postponed to July 24 due to a “scheduling conflict,” according to musical director Brian Nash.

The concert is to feature cast members of Broadway shows singing “the bawdiest and most offensive songs by New York’s favorite composers,” including three numbers from SILENCE! The Musical, an unauthorized parody of the film The Silence of the Lambs that will be presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival in August. There will also be selections from Monica! The Musical, which is set to play the New York Musical Theater Festival in September; and songs by Bat Boy composer Larry O’Keefe and Avenue Q puppet wrangler Phoebe Kreutz. Performers are yet to be announced.
