Tony nominee Michael McElroy continues his partnership with Broadway Inspirational Voices for the group's second holiday album Great Joy II: Around the World.

Grammy and Tony nominee Michael McElroy (Big River) and Broadway Inspirational Voices are preparing to record their second holiday album Great Joy II: Around the World. They are launching their fundraising effort with Kickstarter campaign, running now through June 15, with a fundraising goal of $40,000.

BIV recorded its debut holiday album, Great Joy: A Gospel Christmas, nearly 11 years ago, earning Michael and his cowriters Joseph Joubert and Buryl Red a Grammy nomination for their work. All proceeds from album sales as well as from the concerts and events that BIV performs, go to fund the organization's outreach initiative. BIV is a gospel ensemble comprising actors who perform on and off-Broadway. Some of the shows represented today are After Midnight, Disney's Aladdin, Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Kinky Boots, The Lion King, Motown: The Musical, Pippin, Violet, Wicked, and more.

BIV members and friends from the Broadway community who have supported in the campaign include BIV board president Phylicia Rashad, Mario Cantone, Lin Mañuel Miranda, Stephanie J. Block, Leslie Uggams, Angela Robinson, Billy Porter, Adriane Lenox, Alice Ripley, Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa, Montego Glover, Tom Kitt, and many more.
