PHOTO FLASH: Isiah Whitlock, Jr. Visits BRONTË A Portrait of Charlotte

Stage and television star Isiah Whitlock, Jr. attended a performance of the Off-Broadway production, BRONTË A Portrait of Charlotte at Theatre 511 on Saturday, May 19. Afterwards, he visited with the show’s star, Maxine Linehan.

The one woman play, based on letters written between Charlotte and her childhood friend Ellen Nussey, was written by award-winning playwright William Luce.

Whitlock’s stage credits include Farragut North, UNCONDITIONAL, A Small Melodramatic Story, The Cherry Orchard, Four and A Lesson Before Dying. He is perhaps most widely recognized for his role as corrupt politician R. Clayton ‘Clay’ Davis on HBO’s The Wire.
