Nancy Johnston to Replace Allyce Beasley in Revisiting Wildfire

Nancy Johnston will replace the previously reported star Allyce Beasley in the premiere of Kari Floren’s Revisiting Wildfire, to be presented by Right Down Broadway. Previews begin June 1, with an opening set for June 6 at the ArcLight Theatre. According to a press statement, Beasley was forced to withdraw for health reasons.

Eve Brandstein will direct this play, co-starring Lynne Wintersteller, about two 50-something women who have always had a madcap friendship since the early years of punk and the Reagan Administration. But when three decades of the weekly phone calls stop, a surprise visit finds one of them in chaos, the other in denial and both with secrets.

The production will feature sets by Jason Sherwood, costumes by Anne E Grosz and lighting by Nastassia Jimenez. Original music for Revisiting Wildfire is by Roger Murdock.
