Jonathan Larson, Dionne Warwick to be Honored at National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS Benefit

The National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS will host its 25th Anniversary benefit, titled Choose Life Awards Hall of Hope and Remembrance on Thursdsay, June 7 at 583 Park Avenue.

Talk show host Wendy Williams will host the benefit, which will induct fashion photographer and AIDS activist Duane Cramer, Morgan Stanley managing director Carla A. Harris, and five-time Grammy Award-winner and activist Dionne Warwick into the Hall of Hope and Remembrance.

Composer Jonathan Larson will be posthumously inducted, as well, for spreading awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic through his Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent.

Additionally, the event will recognize reporters and anchors from WABC7, WCBS2, WLNY55, and WNBC4 for drawing attention to HIV/AIDS in New York City and their support of the organization.
