Producer Randall L. Wreghitt Has Died

Broadway producer Randall L. Wreghitt has passed away, due to complications from recent carbon monoxide poisoning. He was 55.

His 2001 production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest received the Tony Award for Best Revival. His many other Broadway credits include The Miracle Worker, Impressionism, Grey Gardens, Little Women - The Musical, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Golda's Balcony, Metamorphoses, Electra, Band in Berlin, The Lonesome West, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane.

His many Off-Broadway productions include Three Tall Women, The Waverly Gallery, As Bees in Honey Drown, The Food Chain, Camping with Henry and Tom, and Zombie Prom.

In addition, he produced such shows as Lobby Hero, Velocity, and Crush the Infamous in the U.K.

Along with his work as a producer, he was founder of Pro-Marketing, a marketing and promotions company that specializes in entertainment. In 1996 he won the Robert Whitehead Award for "outstanding achievement in commercial theatrical producing."

He is survived by his mother, Leona, and his sister Sherri. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to the Randall L. Wreghitt Memorial Fund c/o Ward Van Slyke Funeral home , 101 4th Street, Clear Lake IA, 50428. The funeral will be held in Iowa, Mr. Wreghitt's native state.
