Brent Barrett, Stephen Bienskie, Jenn Harris, et al. Set for Silence! The Musical Off-Broadway

Casting has been announced for Silence! The Musical, to run June 24 – August 13 at Theater 80 St. Mark’s. Christopher Gattelli, who staged the piece at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2005 and directed a 2010 production in London, will direct and choreograph.

The show, with a book by Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, is an unauthorized parody of the thriller Silence of the Lambs, which focuses on rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill.

The company will feature Brent Barrett (Lecter), Stephen Bienskie (Buffalo Bill), Jenn Harris (Starling), Deidre Goodwin (Ardelia Mapp), Jeff Hiller (Pembry/Miggs/Lamb), Harry Bouvy (Dr. Chilton), Howard Kaye (Jack Crawford), and Alysha Umphress (Catherine Martin).

The creative team will include Scott Pask (scenic design) and Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Mark Hartman (musical director), and Brian J. Nash (arrangements & orchestrations).
