PHOTO FLASH: Stanley Tucci Receives Sardi’s Caricature

Stanley Tucci — who directed the current Broadway production of Lend Me A Tenor — received his caricature at Sardi’s Restaurant on Tuesday, May 25.

Nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Play, the madcap screwball comedy is set in motion when Tito Merelli, the fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing.

The cast stars Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Justin Bartha, Jan Maxwell, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Brooke Adams.

While this is his first time directing on Broadway, Tucci’s other Broadway credits include acting in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Execution of Justice, The Iceman Cometh, and his debut in The Queen and the Rebels. He has also appeared in over 50 films including The Lovely Bones, Julie & Julia, Road to Perdition, and directed the films Big Night, The Impostors, and Blind Date.
