Joey Lawrence and Melissa Joan Hart’s Melissa and Joey to Premiere on August 17

Joey Lawrence and Melissa Joan Hart ‘s new sitcom Melissa and Joey, will have its premiere on the ABC Family Channel at 8pm on Tuesday, August 17, according to TVGuide.com

The new series revolves around a politician (Hart), who winds up taking in her sister’s two kids (Taylor Spreitler and Nick Robinson) and hires a man (Lawrence) to become the family’s nanny. The channel has ordered ten episodes of the series.

In 2007, Lawrence made his Broadway debut in Chicago, while Hart recently appeared in Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Both performers have previously starred in successful sitcomess as well as on on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. In addition, they also appeared together in the ABC Family movie My Fake Fiance.
