Jim Dale has joined the roster of celebrities performing at Theatre Museum’s Awards ceremony, to be held on May 17 at the Players Club. In addition, it has been announced that John Bolton will host the event, stepping in for the previously announced Richard Kind, who has had to bow out as a result of a movie commitment.

Also scheduled to perform are Annika Boras, Kevin Cahoon, Jennifer Evans, Jessica Grove, and Noah Racey. At the center of the event will be a tribute to The Sherman Brothers, who will be receiving the Theatre Museum’s Career Achievement Award, to be presented by Tony Walton.

The salute, conducted by Aaron Gandy, will include songs from Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Over Here, and Busker Alley. In addition, Richard M. Sherman will take to the piano and lead the event’s grand finale.

Among the other honors to be presented at the ceremony are the Theatre Museum Arts Education Award, which will be presented to Samuel French Inc., and the Theatre History Preservation Award, which will go to the Mint Theatre. Presenters will include Thomas Schumacher, president and producer, Disney Theatrical Productions; Tappan Wilder; and actor George Morfogen.

The event will also include a silent auction hosted by jeweler Judith Ripka and a theatre tickets raffle.
