Katie Holmes to Star in Miramax’s Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark
Katie Holmes will star in Miramax Films’ thriller Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, penned by Guillermo del Toro and Matthew Robbins, according to Variety. Troy Nixey will direct.
The film is based on a 1973 ABC telepic about an old mansion inhabited by demon-like creatures.
Holmes starred on Broadway earlier this season in All My Sons. She will appear at the annual Memorial Day weekend concert in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, May 24. Her many films include Batman Begins, Mad Money and Wonder Boys. She was also a series regular on Dawson’s Creek.
