Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won the Tony Award for originating the role of Tracy Turnbald in the musical Hairspray, was finally eliminated from ABC’s hit series Dancing With the Stars on May 13, having made it to the semifinal round.

The series’ three finalists, actor Christian de la Fuente, Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi, and NFL star Jason Taylor, will compete for the grand prize next week. R&B star Usher, who starred in the Broadway revival of Chicago, will be a special guest for the season’s final episode on May 20.

Since departing Hairspray, Winokur has co-starred in the FOX-TV series Stacked, starred in the TV movie Fugly, and guest starred on such series as Jack & Bobby. She is scheduled to host her own talk show in 2009.
