Colin Donnell, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and More Cast in This Summer’s Shakespeare in the Park Productions

The starry casts of The Comedy of Errors and Love’s Labour’s Lost, A New Musical, have been announced.

The Public Theater has announced casting for its upcoming Shakespeare in the Park productions of The Comedy of Errors and Love’s Labour’s Lost, A New Musical.

As previously announced, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater will head the cast of The Comedy of Errors, which will run May 28-June 30 with an official opening on June 18 at Central Park’s Delacorte Theater. Daniel Sullivan directs the work, which will also feature J. Clint Allen, de’Adre Aziza, Becky Ann Baker, Emily Bergl , Keith Eric Chapelle, Robert Creighton, Reggie Gowland, Jonathan Hadary, Bryan Langlitz, Heidi Schreck, Skipp Sudduth, and Jessica Wu.

Love’s Labour’s Lost, A New Musical, written by Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson scribes Michael Friedman and Alex Timbers, will feature Daniel Breaker (King of Navarre), Kevin Del Aguila (Dull), Colin Donnell (Berowne), Andrew Durand (Boyet), Kimiko Glenn (Maria), Jeff Hiller (Nathaniel), Rebecca Naomi Jones (Jaquenetta), Justin Levine (Moth), Patti Murin (Princess), Lucas Near-Verbrugghe (Dumaine), Bryce Pinkham (Longaville), Charlie Pollock (Costard), Caesar Samayoa (Don Armado), Maria Thayer (Rosaline), and Audrey Lynn Weston (Katherine). Directed by Timbers, the production will run July 23-August 18, with a press opening on Monday, August 12.

Both productions will have an 8:30pm start time, with running times of approximately 90 minutes, sans intermission. The Comedy of Errors will feature scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Acme Sound Partners, original music by Greg Pliska, and choreography by Mimi Leiber. Love’s Labour’s Lost features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jennifer Moeller, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
