in These Seven Sicknesses

The five-hour piece is a combination of all seven of Sophocles' extant plays -- Oedipus, In Trachis, Philoktetes, In Colonus, Ajax, Elektra, and Antigone -- that examines the human condition, where the intermingling of chance and fate yields disquieting results. The piece is performed by a 38-member ensemble and also features a dinner break, served by the company. Casting will be announced in the near future.
The design team is comprised of Julia Noulin-Merat (scenic design), Carl Wiemann (lighting design), Loren Shaw (costume design), Patrick Metzger (sound design), and David Dabbon (music direction).
