Saffron Burrows, Kate Forbes, Cristin Milioti, et al. Set for Notorious Lady Susan Benefit Reading

Saffron Burrows, Kate Forbes, Cristin Milioti, Janet Zarish, Matt Amendt, Aysan Celik, and Mark Blum will appear in a staged reading of Tom Fontana’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s The Notorious Lady Susan, to be offered on April 12 at 7pm at the Baruch Performing Arts Center. Fontana will direct the performance, which will serve as a benefit for The Acting Company.

Published 54 years after Austen’s death, The Notorious Lady Susan focuses on an intelligent and highly manipulative widow intent on gaining financially secure relationships for herself and her wayward but shy teenage daughter.

In addition to the reading, the event will feature a post-performance reception with Fontana and the cast.
