Marriage Equality New York held its 12th annual fundraising gala at Slate on April 28. Honorees included LGBT advocates NY Sen. Jose Peralta, Tony award-winning actor B.D. Wong, attorney Shannon Minter, and activist group Queer Rising.

Wong was presented with his award by songstress/comedian Lea DeLaria.

Also in attendance was Emmy winner Leslie Jordan, currently appearing in his solo show My Trip Down the Pink Carpet; cast members from Broadway's Hair; and Amazing Race winner Reichen Lekmkuhl, soon to star Off-Broadway in My Big Gay Italian Wedding, who was joined at the Gala by his boyfriend Rodney Santiago.

Guests also included the Village People's Randy Jones; actors Celina Carvajal, Marti Gould Cummings, and Marty Thomas; MENY head Cathy Marino-Thomas; NYC Councilman Daniel Dromm; NYC Comptroller John Liu; and civil rights attorney Yetta Kurland.
