Two-time Tony Award winner Lily Tomlin will play the St. George Theatre on Staten Island on Saturday, April 17 at 8pm. Comedian Kate Clinton will open the show, entitled Back 2 Back, and benefiting the Susan Love Foundation for breast cancer research and the Community Health Action of Staten Island.

Tomlin received a special Tony in 1977 for her solo show Appearing Nitely and the 1986 Best Actress Tony for The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, the solo, multi-character piece she wrote with longtime partner Jane Wagner. That show was revived on Broadway in 2000.

Her many film and television credits include Nine to Five, A Prairie Home Companion, Nashville, The West Wing, Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace, Murphy Brown, and Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In. She is also one of the producers for Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan’s solo show, My Trip Down the Pink Carpet, beginning Off-Broadway performances this month at the Midtown Theater.
