Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna, Featuring Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, et al. Debuts at No. 1

Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna, the third compilation of music from FOX’s hit series Glee, has opened at No. 1 on the Nielsen SoundScan ratings, according to published reports.

The CD, which was released on April 20, to coincide with the all-Madonna episode of the show, had 98,000 sales in its first week, with a large percentage being digital downloads.

The disc has seven tracks: “Vogue,” “4 Minutes,” and “What It Feels Like for a Girl.” a medley of “Borderline” and “Open Your Heart,” “Express Yourself,” “Like a Virgin,” and “Like a Prayer.”

The show’s regulars, who are heard on the CD, include Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, and Jenna Ushkowitz, along with Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff, who has joined the cast in the guest role of Jesse St. James.
