Norbert Leo Butz, Keith Carradine, Anita Gillette to Honor Dick Latessa and Emily Nash at Broadway at the Boathouse

Norbert Leo Butz, Keith Carradine, and Anita Gillette will perform at Creative Alternatives of New York’s 25th annual fete, Broadway at the Boathouse, which will honor Tony Award winner and board chairman Dick Latessa and CANY’s artistic director Emily Nash. The event will be held at Loeb Central Park Boathouse on May 4, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Scott Wittman will direct the musical presentation. The benefit co-chairs for this year’s event are Cady Huffman and Manny & Lani Azenberg with Honorary co-chairs Bill Pullman and Susan Sarandon. Celebrity guests scheduled to attend include Victoria Clark, Charlotte D’Amboise, Victor Garber, composer Tom Jones, Frank Langella, Terrence Mann, Anne Meara, Hayley Mills, Jerry Stiller, and Julie White.

Creative Alternatives of New York offers transformative theater programs to traumatized children and adults in the New York Metropolitan area, helping them to build new life skills and realize their potential through the art of drama.

Latessa won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for his performance in the musical Hairspray, and is currently appearing in the Huntington Theatre Company’s world premiere of The Miracle at Naples. Nash has been a leader in the field of therapeutic theatre for over 25 years.
