Marian Seldes to Join Dessay, Florez in Metropolitan Opera’s La Fille Du Regiment

Tony Award winner Marian Seldes will play the Duchess of Krakenthorp opposite Natalie Dessay and Juan Diego-Florez in the Metropoltian Opera’s new production of Donizetti’s La Fllle Du Regiment, to run April 21-May 16. She replaces previously announced star Zoe Caldwell, who is ill.

The production will be directed by Laurent Pelly and conducted by Marco Amillato. The show’s performance at 1:30pm on Saturday, April 26 will be shown live across the country at HD Theaters.

In addition, free tickets are being offered to the dress rehearsal at 11am on Friday, April 18. The event will also include a Q&A session with members of the cast and production team after the performance. Reservations, limited to two per person, will begin at noon on Sunday, April 13.
