Ahrens, Flaherty, Mazzie, Mitchell to Appear at NYPL on April 10

Broadway stars Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie will join the composer/lyricist team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty for a free discussion of the pair’s work at 6pm on Thursday, April 10 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center. Ira Weitzman will moderate the discussion, and Mitchell and Mazzie will perform excerpts from the pair’s musicals.

Ahrens and Flaherty have collaborated on such shows as Once on this Island, Ragtime, Lucky Stiff, A Man of No Importance, Dessa Rose, and The Glorious Ones.

Mitchell and Mazzie co-starred in the Broadway production of Ragtime, along with the revivals of Kiss Me, Kate, Man of La Mancha, and Kismet. Mazzie will appear next month in the New York Philharmonic’s concert version of Camelot.
