Mark Blum, Jennifer Dundas, Biff McGuire, and Elisabeth Waterston will star in the Long Wharf Theatre's production of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, May 9-June 3. The production, which will open officially on May 16, will be directed by Gordon Edelstein.

The production will also feature Marco Barricelli, Larry Block, Waltrudis Buck, Zouanne LeRoy, and Charles Tirrell. Creative team information will be announced shortly.

Chekhov's classic play focuses on the residents of a family estate who are brought to the brink of ruin at the arrival of an ailing professor and his exquisitely beautiful wife. Edelstein has been the company's artistic director since 2002. His numerous directing credits in New York and elsewhere include The Homecoming, A Skull in Connemara, The Last Yankee, and God of Vengeance.

Blum's Broadway credits include Twelve Angry Men, The Graduate, A Thousand Clowns, and Lost in Yonkers. Dundas has appeared on Broadway in such shows as The Little Foxes and Arcadia. McGuire is a two-time Tony Award nominee for Morning's at Seven and The Young Man from Atlanta. Waterston most recently starred in the Flea Theatre's production of Los Angeles.
