Beth Leavel and James Naughton to Announce Drama Desk Nominees

Broadway stars Beth Leavel and James Naughton will announce the nominees for this year’s Drama Desk Awards at 9:45 on Thursday, April 26 at The Friars Club.
As previously announced, Kristin Chenoweth will host the awards ceremony on Sunday, May 20 at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall. The event will be telecast by PBS and NYC TV (Channel 25) and webcast live by TheaterMania.com.
The Drama Desk Awards honor the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway. This year’s nominating committee consists of Barbara Siegel, chairperson (TalkinBroadway.com, TheaterMania.com); Gregory Bossler (The Dramatist); Bernard Carragher (Catholic Transcript); Glenda Frank (Plays International, nytheatre-wire.com); Tony Phillips (New York Press), and Richard Ridge (Broadway Beat TV).
