Stage, screen and television star Sarah Jessica Parker was among the attendees at The Ali Forney Center's "Friendraiser" event at Soho's Housing Works Book Store on Wednesday, March 14. The event was hosted by Frank Selvaggi and Bill Shea.
Celebrity attendees also included Ally Sheedy, Jon Robin Baitz, Ron Rifkin, Jordan Dean, John Benjamin Hickey, and Kathy Najimy and Dan Finnerty.
Other notables included the Center's Executive Director, Carl Siciliano; Chuck Wolfe, president and CEO of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund; Evan Wolfson, Executive Director of Freedom to Marry; Jonathan Lang of the Empire State Pride Agenda; Alphonso David, Governor Andrew Cuomo's Deputy Secretary of Civil Rights, and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.
The Ali Forney Center is the nation's largest organization working on behalf of homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth.
